Adult Leader Training

Church leadership believes that well trained leaders are the key to any ministry's success. Pastors understand that a trained volunteer is much more likely to commit their time and can be counted on to show up every week. For these reason, and others, the Royal Rangers program places a high priority on leader training.

The fundamental goal of training is to inspire, mobilize, and resource leaders to empower them to achieve their greatest success and effectiveness.  Royal Rangers training is based on three core values:

Junior Leader Training

Equipping the next generation of boys and young men involves preparing them for leadership.  In Royal Rangers the process of preparing boys for leadership and engaging them in leadership roles today is an integral part of what we do.  The process of training junior leaders currently takes place both within the local outpost as well as at the district level.

Instructor Training

Royal Rangers Instructors form the critical link between local leaders and the various aspects of the program.  Instructors provide valuable training to equip leaders for success in their various areas of responsibility.  Each district oversees the process of certifying instructors to provide training in their district.  The instructor certification process currently consists of two components - the Instructor Certification Seminar (ICS) and the Instructor Trainer Seminar (ITS).  Instructors involved in national training events are prepared for their roles through National Academy.

Organizational Leader Training

The purpose of Royal Rangers’ Organizational Leadership Training is to challenge individuals in positions of service above the local level to grow spiritually, to develop well-rounded ministry competencies, and to enhance their leadership aptitudes.  All organizational leaders are encouraged to begin in this training process as soon as possible following their appointment.  Organizational Leadership Training consists of the following components:

Other Training

In addition to training programs to equip adult and junior leaders to lead the local group, Royal Rangers also provides training in abbreviated format for church leaders and support staff who need a general understanding of the methods and objectives of the program without the details related to actual operation of the program.  For these individuals, the following training tracks have been created.
