Meet 2010 with Holy Anticipation!
The Message says, “God creates each of us…to join him in…the good work he has gotten ready for us to do.” (Eph. 2:10, emphasis added). Isn’t this phrase amazing: “The good work he has gotten ready for us to do.” That is encouraging! God has great plans for your life and is paving the way before you.
Just consider how significant this role reversal is. God himself assumes the role of a forward team preparing each day for your arrival. Here’s 2010 in a nutshell: God will do “far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us” (Eph. 3:20 MSG, emphasis added). Pray it so!
Indeed, God is going before each of us, preparing you and me to “influence more boys and young men than ever, more effectively than ever!” It is correct to meet each day in 2010 with a divine sense of destiny!
